Braces, aligners or early care?
Dr Joanne Tseng manages children’s, teenage and adult orthodontic care, including complex adult cases. Recommendations are based on the bite, required tooth movements, growth, oral health and individual goals.
- Traditional braces — fixed metal brackets and wires provide controlled tooth movement and may suit straightforward or complex alignment and bite concerns
- Clear aligners — Invisalign, Spark and Angel Aligners are removable, transparent options for suitable teenagers and adults and must be worn as directed
- Early care and plates — selected developing crossbites, underbites, overbites, space concerns or jaw relationships may benefit from appropriately timed fixed or removable appliances
- Monitoring — immediate treatment is not always needed; dental and facial development may be reviewed until the timing is appropriate
