Gum MaintenanceScale & Clean

A regular scale and clean treatment will help to remove disease-causing calculus, plaque and staining. Simply having your teeth professionally cleaned at least every six months will significantly slow down the progress of periodontal (gum) disease. Gingivitis is the most common form of gum disease caused by plaque. The build-up of plaque irritates and inflames the gums, causing them to swell up and bleed when brushing/interdental cleaning.

Gingivitis is reversible, however if not treated and managed properly gingivitis can worsen over time and develop into periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is a more severe form of gum disease and needs detailed deep cleaning to maintain this disease.
