Pain-Free Dentistry & Sedation Options
Feeling anxious at the thought of visiting the dentist? You’re not alone. Let our team at Newtown Elite Dental help you overcome your dental anxiety for better oral health.
We are pain-free dentist experts who specialise in gentle dental care. We offer a wide range of sedation dentistry options to help anxious patients overcome their fear of the dentist.
Our clinic is designed to provide a calm and relaxing environment, while you receive quality care and treatment. Your visits should be as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Our team at Newtown Elite Dental is friendly, welcoming and non-judgemental. Our patient-centred approach allows us to provide the supportive dental care you deserve.

Our Sedation Options
IV Sedation (Twilight Sedation)
For patients with high dental anxiety or undergoing complex procedures, IV sedation (also called twilight sedation) provides complete comfort throughout treatment.
You'll feel deeply relaxed and may even fall asleep, but remain responsive when needed. You'll also experience 100% pain relief and won't remember anything about the procedure afterwards.
Our skilled anaesthetist, Dr. Kevin Lai, works directly with our dental team to ensure your wellbeing and peace of mind.
Relative Analgesia (RA)
Also known as “happy gas”, this lighter option is perfect for patients who want to stay awake and aware but need help relaxing.
Happy gas combines nitrous oxide with oxygen through a comfortable nose mask, working quickly to reduce both anxiety and pain.
The effects wear off fast, so you can resume normal activities straight after treatment. It's particularly popular with patients who are nervous but don't want deep sedation.
Oral Sedation
For patients with mild anxiety, medications like Diazepam (Valium) taken about an hour before your appointment can make all the difference.
You'll remain awake and responsive throughout treatment but feel much calmer and more relaxed. It's an excellent choice for patients who want a stress-free visit without needles or masks.
We do not provide general anaesthesia (where you are completely unconscious), but if your treatment requires it, we can refer you to a trusted specialist for that service.
